SECURITY SYSTEMS FOR PROPERTY MANAGERS
You manage twelve buildings and you have four security vendors. One does intercoms but won't touch the strike. One does cameras but sends a different tech every time. One installed the fob system three years ago and doesn't return calls. And the locksmith doesn't understand any of it.
Impera Security Systems works with property managers across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens as a single vendor for the whole portfolio. Intercoms, security cameras, access control, alarm systems, door hardware, and repair on all of it — whether we installed the system or someone else did. One contact who knows your buildings. One COI on file. One number to call when something's broken at 7 a.m.

What Working With One Vendor Actually Changes
Fewer calls to make. Buzzer dead at one building, camera offline at another, fob reader down at a third. One call, one dispatcher, and the technician who arrives has worked in that building before.
No finger-pointing. When the intercom buzzes but the door doesn't open, that's an intercom problem and a locksmith problem. We're both, so nobody sends you to someone else.
Systems that talk to each other. When the same team installs the intercom, the cameras, and the access control, they're designed to work together from the start — one dashboard for management, credential entries matched to video, visitor calls logged next to fob swipes.
Consistent hardware across the portfolio. Standardize on platforms that fit your buildings, so a managing agent who knows the dashboard at one building knows it at all of them, and spare parts are interchangeable.
A vendor who knows the buildings. We keep notes: what's installed, what wiring is reused, which doors have which hardware, who the super is. The second visit to a building is faster than the first, and the tenth is faster still.
Board support. When one of your boards needs a proposal, we produce it in the format boards can vote on, with the COI and documentation, and we'll join the meeting if it helps. See how we work with boards →
What We Handle Across a Portfolio
Intercom installation, replacement, and repair. From a two-family in Bay Ridge to a 150-unit co-op in Forest Hills. App-based, monitors, or telephone entry; 2-wire retrofits that reuse existing wiring; buzzer repair on systems of any age. Intercoms → · Intercom repair →
Security cameras. Lobby, hallway, elevator, package room, garage, and exterior coverage, with recording sized for how far back you'll need to look and remote viewing so you can pull a clip from your desk. Cameras → · Camera repair →
Access control. Fobs, keypads, and mobile credentials on cloud platforms — Brivo, Kisi, Avigilon Alta — where every building in the portfolio lives under one login and a departed tenant's credential is deactivated from your laptop. Access control → · Access control repair →
Alarm systems. Monitored intrusion, fire, and environmental protection for common areas, mechanical rooms, vacant units, and commercial spaces. Alarms →
Locks and door hardware. Rekeying at turnover, master key systems across buildings, high-security cylinders, closers, panic hardware, and the electric strikes and maglocks behind every intercom and reader. Locksmith →
Repair on anything. Any system, any brand, any installer. Diagnose first, quote before repairing, repair before replacing. Repair →

Questions Property Managers Ask
Can you take over systems another company installed? Yes. Most of our repair work is on systems we didn't install. We diagnose, document, and service them — and when one reaches the end, we'll tell you and show you what can be reused.
Do you offer a maintenance agreement? [Yes — describe it: periodic inspection of intercoms, cameras, door hardware, and access control across the portfolio, with priority scheduling. / Not yet — we can put one together for your portfolio; ask.]
Can everything be managed from one dashboard? Access control and most modern intercoms, yes — cloud platforms put every building under one login. Cameras can be viewed from one app across buildings. We'll recommend platforms that fit that goal.
How fast can you respond? Portfolio clients get priority scheduling. For a dead front door or a building that can't secure, call and we'll give you the soonest available appointment.
Do you provide COIs for each building? Yes. One certificate naming your management company, plus building-specific certificates where a board or landlord requires them.
Can you handle a mix of building types? That's most of what we do — prewar co-ops, new condos, walk-ups, garden complexes, mixed-use, commercial. Each gets a system that fits it.
Do you work in all five boroughs? Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. If your portfolio extends beyond that, tell us — for the right relationship we'll talk.
