Repairing Door Hardware Before Replacing It
Not every door problem needs new hardware. Before we replace anything, we inspect the door, frame, lockset, alignment, closer, hinges, and any electronic components.
Door won't latch. Usually alignment, a worn hinge, a misadjusted closer, or a strike plate that's shifted. Often fixable without a new lock.
Electric strike won't release. The intercom or reader sends the signal but the door stays locked. We check the strike, alignment, wiring, relay, and power supply to find where the signal is dying.
