How We Plan Your Camera System
We don't arrive with a camera count in mind. We arrive with a walkthrough. Before recommending anything, we look at the property itself — entrances and exits, lobby areas, hallway sightlines, elevators, stairwells, package areas, loading zones, parking, and anywhere else footage would actually be useful if something happened. The goal isn't to sell a set number of cameras; it's to put the right cameras where the recording will matter.
The same goes for storage. We size the recorder around how far back you'll realistically need to look, not a default hard drive dropped into every job. The right amount depends on the number of cameras, resolution, frame rate, whether recording is continuous or motion-based, and how long you want footage kept. We walk you through those choices so you're not paying for storage you'll never use — or running out of it the week it counts.
Remote access is set up during installation, with permissions limited to the people who should have them — the owner, the managing agent, the super — not everyone who knows the building's Wi-Fi password.

Upgrading an Existing Camera System
Many camera projects involve replacing an older analog or IP system rather than starting from scratch.
If the existing coaxial or network wiring is still in good condition, it may be possible to reuse it with compatible replacement equipment. Existing conduit and camera mounting locations may also be reusable.
We evaluate the existing infrastructure before recommending unnecessary rewiring.

IP camera systems require reliable network connections and power at each camera location, commonly through PoE.
For buildings without existing structured cabling, we include the necessary wiring and network requirements in the installation plan so they are accounted for before work begins.
Installation & Configuration
Installation can include mounting cameras, running or reusing cable, installing the recorder or network equipment, configuring recording settings, setting detection zones, and setting up authorized remote access.
Before turnover, we verify camera views and recording operation and adjust settings or placement where needed.
